About Us

Mission

Our mission is to support candidates and companies by providing the tools and information that they need to make informed decisions about where to work and whom to hire. That means:

• Enabling connections between the two sides of the market (the core job that our marketplace performs).
• Making those connections meaningful and human (curation, diversity initiative, not forcing things by playing matchmaker).
• Improving the broader recruiting ecosystem (encouraging best practices, minimizing recruiter spam).
• Being mindful of the emotional experience of our candidates (how can we improve their job search both on and off-platform).

Beyond that, we believe that a company’s values are a reflection of the individual values of its people, and we do not shy away from debating important issues or advocating for causes unrelated to our core business mission. In the summer of 2020, that meant standing with the Black community in demanding an end to systemic racism and police brutality and donating to organizations like Black Lives Matter, The Bail Project, Campaign Zero, and Black Girls Code. As a company, we'll continue to do our small part to advocate for positive change and progress.
